Big List of Blog Search Engines

My new theory on blogging is that whenever I can't find a particular piece of information on Google I should just create it myself. What's the point of all this easy-to-use publishing technology if you don't publish stuff, right?

Well, I recently created a new blog, www.hackingfreaks.in and wanted to find a quick checklist of all the blog and rss search engines so I could submit the site and reap the tons of free traffic which would inevitably result. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a really comprehensive source. The best I found was a) I found somewhat confusing; and b) did not address the ability to submit your blog to the engines. Update: It's really not that confusing.

Add Google Sitemap For Blogger Blog

To add Google Sitemap for ur blog.Goto Webmaster Tools.Sign in to your account [or create 1 if u don't have]

In Add this site box,Add ur URL as http://bloggerworld.in/.



You will get a "Your site has been added to your account".Click Verify and you will get 2 options to add meta tag.

Option-1:Add Meta Tag
Option-2:Upload HTML File

Option:-1: You will get a meta tag.



Just copy that meta tag.Sign into Dashboard, select your blog, click TEMPLATE tab and paste the meta tag in between the and tags. Save and republish. Check the "I've added the META tag in the home page of http://your-blog-url.com/" box and click the [verify] button.

There will be a message "We do not know about all the pages of your site. [Submit a Sitemap] to tell us more about your site. Click [Submit a Sitemap] and in the "Choose type..." selection box, select "Add General Web Sitemap".

http://bloggertricky.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100 (If you have up to 100 posts)

And if you have more than 100 articles or posts, then you have to add more sitemaps, after you have already added the previous one, like these:

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=101&max-results=100 (If you have up to 200 posts)

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=201&max-results=100 (If you have up to 300 posts)
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=301&max-results=100 (If you have up to 400 posts).

Increase Google Crawl Rate-Update on Sunday

Does it Sound Interesting?Yes It is!Yes This is an Search Engine Optimization Tip

B'coz as Sunday is a holiday.Almost all regular probloggers take rest on Sunday.So at the same time we, part time bloggers are free from our regular jobs.I have observed that my traffic increased on Sundays.Reason being, I used this technich.

To maintain,my traffic I prepared to post on Sunday .And Finally the result, I get a little more traffic.You may write a whole post just before the week end and then post on sunday with which you'll enjoy both the things.

In addition to this, when you post on sunday, and any reader of my feeds opens his account on monday, he'll first of all read my feed.Also, Google almost crawls my site daily.If I post on sunday , and Google Crawler{It doesn't take a break} indexes it, by monday, I'll hit the top shacks on Google before any major website does and then I'll enjoy targeted traffic.

So, today's Sunday, hope you'll read this on Monday and then post next Sunday.

4]Provide a Rich Site Summary (RSS).

RSS is also known as Really Simple Syndication. JISC describes RSS as “a lightweight XML format for distributing news headlines and other content on the Web.”

In addition to making it easy for other sites to distribute your headlines and content, your RSS feed will be indexed by popular Blog search engines, including Technorati, BlogSearch, and Ask.com Bloglines.

Ask other high-quality websites to link to your website.

Getting other “good” websites to link to yours usually helps your website’s PageRank and ranking on Google.

Note: If your site links to delisted websites, your website might also be removed from Google’s index.

5]Finally,Maintain your blog regularly.Don’t Post more articles at a time.Make the robot feel happy coming to your site.Don’t give more strain to it.My recommendation from my experience is 5-1o post’s/day.

Google Advertising Cookie and Privacy Policies

As per new conditions of Google, All the adsense users should furnish the adsense privacy policy about cookies.If You ignore this thing,You will be thrown away from theGoogle Adsense Family.

The Summary Of the Privacy Policy was

“You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that complies with applicable privacy and data protection laws and that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.”

So,Now You Know What to do.Just Insert the Privacy Policy in your blog/website and avoid trouble.Last Date given by google for us is April 8 2009.So,Hurry.
